Jennifer S. Bennett

Jennifer S. Bennett is Director of Governmental Services for School Efficiency Consultants.  She joined Rives & Associates, LLP in 2010 as Manager of Consulting Services in the Governmental Advisory Services area.  She has 16 years of experience in school finance at the state and local levels. Jennifer Bennett has expertise in funding optimization methodologies and expense reduction strategies for school districts to help them save and maximize critical funding and make the most of their resources.

Mrs. Bennett was most recently with Durham Public Schools where she was responsible for the unit’s $440 million budget. During her eight years there, she worked in all aspects of the district’s operations including financial operations, human resource systems, fiscal analysis work, education program compliance and school allocations and staffing. She has extensive experience working with members of various Boards of Education, school principals, central service leadership and educational non-profit groups. Prior to joining Durham Public Schools, Mrs. Bennett was the Director of School Business at the N. C. Department of Public Instruction. While at the Department of Public Instruction she supervised a state budget of over $6 Billion and a federal education budget of over $1 Billion while working with School Finance Officers and Human Resource Administrators throughout the state. In addition to her extensive school finance skills, Jennifer Bennett brings experience in a variety of finance and accounting operations ranging from fiscal operations for small start-up companies to foundation work with a national insurance company.
