Rives Governmental and Business Consultants is a division of Rives & Associates, LLP a multi-office CPA firm, and was founded on the premise that by partnering with our clients and maximizing the way they do business creates long term relationships and generates savings and additional revenues for our clients. Our clients include large urban school districts, governmental entities and a wide array of businesses.
Our consulting group is led by H. Hank Hurd the former Chief Financial of the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, where he managed a budget of more than 4 billion dollars annually.

Rives & Associates, LLP was formed in January of 2004 by W. Leon Rives and Leon L. Rives II in Lexington, North Carolina. The Lexington practice was originally begun by W.
Leon Rives in the early 80s, doing business as W. Leon Rives CPA (a sole proprietorship) . Since then, the Firm has grown to over 50 staff members and added offices in Charlotte
and Raleigh in order to facilitate growth and serve existing clients in those areas. The Firm's primary objective remains to provide high quality audit, accounting, tax and advisory
services to help our clients achieve greater success.
